HEART Inc. is a non-profit organization that receives no federal, state or local government funding. We have a 501(C)(3) not-for-profit status and operate solely on donations and money raised within the community.
Each day HEART provides care, compassion and adoption services to animals in need. Your contribution means a great deal to our organization, but it means even more to the homeless animals that depend on HEART for survival. With your tax-deductible donation, HEART can continue to make a difference in the lives of animals in the Western New York area.
Donations to HEART may be made in a variety of ways. You can donate gifts of cash, donate in memoriam or in honor of, make a bequest, sponsor a cat, volunteer your time, donate through the United Way or make a donation of a wish list item. However you choose to contribute, you can make a difference! |
Memorial Donations
Donations may be made to HEART Inc. in memory of a loved one (human or animal). The family of the deceased will receive notification of your generous gift. |
Bequests and Planned Giving
By making a bequest in your will or a planned gift HEART Inc. you are extending your commitment to the animals of our community beyond your own lifetime. A bequest to HEART will help ensure the future of our organization and the many services we provide to the neediest animals of Western New York. |
Donations in Honor of Someone Special
Birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays are perfect occasions to honor someone special with a gift to HEART Inc. A personalized card will be sent to notify your friend or loved one of your generous gift. |

Donate Through the United Way
The United Way of Buffalo & Erie County has designated HEART Inc. as a donor agency because of our Pet Enrichment Team (PET) and the valuable community service this program provides to residents of nursing homes and adult day care centers. You can contribute directly to HEART through a one-time gift to the United Way (you must specify HEART Inc. as the designated agency) or you may be able to contribute through payroll deduction at your place of employment. Federal employees may designate HEART Inc. to receive funds through payroll deduction during the Combined Federal Campaign. |

Grant Writing. If you have experience in grant writing we could use your help. There are many corporations, organizations and charitable foundations with grant money available. If you have the time to help us, we could use help in researching grant opportunities and writing grant proposals. |
