Pudge knows what it's like to be sad, lonely and scared. He was found on the streets of Buffalo - injured and starving.
Pudge is doing great in his foster home! He is so cute and fun to be around. This friendly boy is one huge lap cat (he just laps up attention). Great with people and other cats. Pudge and his best friend Marcello run through their foster home like kids chasing each other. Marcello (a.k.a. The Class Clown) is also available for adoption. Do you have room for two in your heart and home?
Pudge has a sweet endearing quality about him. He is affectionate, playful and loves being petted. But, if you pet him just a second too long he might give you a love bite to let you know he wants you to stop. Love bites are common in some cats and Pudge is not being mean. He really enjoys being petted but sometimes gets overstimulated. He gets rid of his nervous energy by nipping. If Pudge nips just take your hand away and don't pay any attention to him. (Because of his love-bites Pudge is better suited in a home with older more mature children who understand his love bites.
Pudge is FIV positive but PLEASE don't let the word FIV scare you. Pudge is in good health and as far as he's concerned, FIV is just some letters on a piece of paper! And he sure hopes those three letters won't keep him from finding a home. Cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives. It's very hard for a cat to give FIV to other cats unless there's a serious, bloody cat fight. So unless your cats at home routinely tear each other to pieces, it's not a problem. (And if your cats are tearing each other up, that's probably a bigger problem!). And of course, there's no way to give FIV to humans or dogs! For more information go to
FIV FACTS.
Pudge will be a wonderful companion for a special someone with an an empty lap and lots of love to share. He is hoping for a hero - someone to love him. Won't you consider making Pudge the happiest cat alive by offering him a home?
